Scholarship Renewal

All renewable scholarships are available for a total of eight (8) semesters to full-time students.* Scholarships may begin in either the fall or spring semester. Renewal will be based on your cumulative GPA after two full semesters, including GPA from all transferred credits.

These scholarships are available for U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and students pursuing their first bachelor's degree. Eligibility criteria and application process are as follows:

  • Admitted transfer students are automatically considered for scholarships (no separate scholarship application required) if they meet application deadlines.
  • Students must be directly transferring from one of Missouri S&T's transfer partner institutions and must have attended that institution in a fall or spring term.
  • Students in the Missouri State University Cooperative Program are not eligible for the Partners in Excellence Scholarship.
  • The Partners in Excellence Transfer Scholarship is awarded in addition to other transfer merit-based scholarships and will be added to any other automatic merit transfer awards the student receives.
  • This scholarship cannot be awarded in addition to the Border County Award or Missouri S&T Connection Award.
  • Transfer students must be pursuing their first bachelor's degree upon enrollment at Missouri S&T to be considered for scholarships.
  • Renewal will be based on cumulative GPA after two semesters at Missouri S&T, including transferred courses and courses taken at Missouri S&T.
  • Students must be enrolled full-time (defined as a minimum of 12 hours at Missouri S&T) to receive a scholarship.
  • The scholarship amounts reflect an annual award, with one-half available for the fall semester and one-half for the spring semester (not available for summer sessions).
  • Out-of-state residents who become Missouri residents will be charged in-state tuition and will forfeit out-of-state merit scholarships.

*Awards made prior to fall 2024 will follow the previous renewal policy (total of four (4) semesters).
