Overview
We have been approved to offer Fulbright sponsored students a scholarship as follows:
- $3,500 per fall or spring semester (minimum 9 graduate credit hours enrollment at Missouri S&T)
- $1,200 per summer semester (minimum 3 graduate credit hours enrollment at Missouri S&T)
Eligibility
Newly enrolled Fulbright students pursuing a graduate degree at Missouri University of Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) and attending classes on campus will be awarded the Fulbright Graduate Student Scholarship. The scholarship is renewable up to the following terms:
- Master’s degree – 2 years
- PhD without master’s – 6 years
- PhD with master’s – 4 years
Renewal Requirements
By accepting the scholarship, students agree to the following conditions:
- Must be an international student on a J-1 visa pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree at Missouri S&T (graduate students only).
- Must be paying international student tuition and fees.
- Must not have a GRA/GTA/GA appointment exceeding 24.9% FTE. Receiving a quarter-time appointment (25% or higher) forfeits the scholarship moving forward.
- Must maintain full-time enrollment: minimum 9 graduate credit hours in fall/spring, minimum 3 in summer.
- Interrupting enrollment voids eligibility upon re-enrollment.
- Scholarship guaranteed only for the first on-campus semester; renewable up to the maximum time allowed.
- To renew, students must complete the previous semester with a 3.25 GPA or better and maintain a cumulative graduate GPA of 3.25 or better.
- Only new incoming Fulbright-sponsored international students are eligible.
- Non-deferrable; study abroad or co-op/CPT semesters disqualify the student from receiving the scholarship during those periods.
- Taking a semester off voids the scholarship.
- Dropping below full-time enrollment requires reimbursement to the university.
- This scholarship is non-appealable.
This award will be offered as a credit on the student’s account through the student financial services office upon confirmation of eligibility.
