Overview
This broad topic includes research in mechanics, fluids, materials, manufacturing, and control systems for robotics, 3D printing, hypersonics, and space manufacturing. Students may pursue Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering under this program.

Eligibility
Eligibility requirements include the following:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Must be accepted into the regular or direct Ph.D. program in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering at Missouri S&T
- Strong GPA and GRE scores with a desire to conduct research
